Terms of use
Last updated: September 11, 2026
1. The service
NumberVirtual provides virtual phone numbers, supplied by telecom partners, for temporarily receiving verification SMS messages. The number is reserved for the user during the activation period shown in the dashboard.
Numbers are exclusively for receiving SMS. You cannot place or receive calls, or send messages.
2. Prohibited uses
Using the platform for the following is expressly forbidden: fraud of any kind; phishing or social engineering; sending or facilitating spam; stealing, hijacking or taking over third-party accounts; creating accounts on behalf of other people; evading security, anti-fraud controls or limits imposed by other platforms; and any activity that is illegal under applicable law.
You agree to follow the terms of the services where you use the numbers. NumberVirtual may block services, countries or usage patterns at any time to comply with provider rules and the law.
3. Account and security
You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for all activity on your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, including freezing balance related to irregular activity when required by law or by an authority.
4. Balance, charges and refunds
The service works with prepaid balance. The price of each activation is shown before purchase and is only debited after the provider delivers the number.
If no SMS is received within the activation window, or if the activation is cancelled under the allowed conditions, the amount is automatically returned to your balance. Activations where an SMS was received are not refundable.
5. Limitations
Numbers depend on third-party providers and carriers. We do not guarantee that a specific service will accept or send SMS to a given number, nor that a number can be reused later. Temporary numbers should not be used as a permanent account recovery method.
6. Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its last update date. Continued use after changes means you accept the new version.
