Skype: SMS verification with a virtual number
Messaging apps like Skype use your phone number as your account identity. A virtual number helps you keep personal and work accounts apart, test the app or keep your real number away from unknown groups and contacts. Once you’re in, set up a recovery email or two-step verification so you don’t depend on the temporary number.
Receiving Skype SMS with a virtual number is useful when you don’t want to use your personal number, you are creating a separate work account or you need a number from another country. NumberVirtual gives you a real mobile number, reserved just for you during the activation, and shows the Skype SMS right in your dashboard.
To improve your chances, the system compares several number providers and automatically picks the best one for Skype at that moment — taking into account price, stock and the SMS delivery rate recorded in recent activations.
The price is locked before you buy and only charged once the number is delivered. If Skype doesn’t send the code in time, you get the money back without opening a ticket.
Use virtual numbers responsibly: follow the Skype terms of service and the laws of your country. Accounts created for fraud, spam or scams are blocked on our platform.
